Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about the Breda-Pittoni BP-471 prototype which isn't a "project" because it flew and entered limited service. It uses an inverted gull-wing to shorten the main undercarriage units......

The article comes from the 7th October 1950 issue of Les Ailes......

This picture of Breda Pittoni 471 appeared on ALI n.20 07/06/1952 and the text said this is the sole prototype of a good airplane in the class of "Dakota" and "Viking", but came late and then immediately obsolete. The P-47 of 51° Stormo on the right, suggests that the photo was taken probably at Treviso airport.
