Boston-Based Company Creates ‘Seaglider’ That Moves 180 MPH Above The Water

If conventional WIG vehicles haven’t taken off why would it be different with electric WIG? I’m not sure I see what’s disruptive about this.

I suggest 2 possible benefits:

1 - less resistance to electric 'flying' as in what happens if the power fails - not much you land in the sea, in your boat shaped plane.
2- WIG's are more efficient, which is important to electric vehicles at the moment, they need that efficiency, and the speed isnt too high.

As to general success of WIG's, i agree.
