In the early-mid 1960's Australia wanted to acquire new frigates or as they called them General Purpose Escorts for their fleet, integrating Anti ship, anti air and anti submarine capabilities in a small hull.
Conway's All the World Fighting Ships 1946-91 includes a small article about them and it mentions that both a sketch design and an artist impression exists!

This book also describes the missile armament of a triple GWS-21 Seacat launcher while other sources describe that the Rim-7 Sea Sparrow and it's Box Launcher was preferred due to it's overall effectiveness.

In Friedman's British Destroyers and Frigates: The Second World War and after on page 292 shows a similar armed frigate though larger than the specification and in the description it tells that the Australians wanted US 5" guns and Sea Sparrot missiles preferably in box launchers and mostly US sensors.

Based on the helicopter outlines on the aft this design is around 118,5m long overall (112m waterline) and 12m wide. (Compared to the 101,5 and 10,3meters)

I wish to draw this frigate design but I've not yet found the original sketch drawing or artist impression Conway speak about, so I started using this Design Study 387 as a basis for it.

Does anybody know or seen this sketch drawing and artist impression painting?

I've made a drawing based on the above one:
