The one thing I like about that design is that despite the almost inherent complexibility of it's design, it looks simple and clean-cut and looks just realistic to actually work!

Are there any other drawings pictures of such a design?

Does that design have a speed-brake? (that upward pointing surface in between the verticals) Or is that just a loading-hatch? (It does sort of look like it since stuff is being loaded in, but it sort of looks like there is an opening and a pair of sidewards opening doors behind the "brake" which looks like those doors open up into the loading-hatch, and the speed brake is in front and raised to allow the door to be opened.).

That was artwork done for an article in Popular Mechanics or Pop Science a few years back. Not a "design" as such.
