I've been using reader to read PDF since I used computer with Winodws 2000
Since I have to managed thousands PDF files in computer I realized it is easy to remember the file via the first page set as thumbnail picture by Windows more than the file name I have to read.

But after acrobat was installed, most of thumbnail pictures was changed to adobe mark no matter the reader would be reinstalled or not, no matter which version of acrobat and Windows.

Perhaps I am wrong, something should be set, which I don't know, this is not a bug I want it to be true.
Do you have solution?

This might not help, but I don't know if you uninstall acrobat and use foxit instead... Someone else might have a better idea.
