Terraserver was a nice site where you could get recent satellite images of pretty much any piece of land on earth for a fairly low price. Sadly, earlier this year it disappeared.

So, does anyone know of an alternative? A browser based service which would give you access to satellite imagery perhaps a few months old, and not cost an arm and a leg?

Never had the chance to try Terraserver before it closed :/
Looking for alternatives , found these pages listing some :

Google Earth isn't browser-based but you do get some pretty recent imagery in many locations. At work I use Maxar's (formerly DigitalGlobe) SecureWatch. It is, however, not what you'd call "cheap"...but I get same-day imagery in a lot of cases. Otherwise, a lot of the other sites mentioned are either using lower-resolution imagery like SPOT or LANDSAT, or only allow you to see what's available but you still have to order the high-resolution imagery. Outside of Google Earth or SecureWatch, there just don't seem to be many options out there to take over the market void left by Terraserver.

Hello everyone! So,, did anyone manage to find something instead of Terraserver?

Not so far and google wants your life story so that's not much use.
