Wings Over the Rockies, Lowry AFB, Denver, CO (most of the collection is indoors)

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=39.720584,-104.894891&spn=0.002113,0.004699&z=18

Hill Aerospace Museum, Hill AFB, Ogden, Utah. The larger aircraft are outside, but the fighter galleries are packed to the walls with amazingly restored aircraft.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=ogden,+ut&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=41.161702,-112.018265&spn=0.004136,0.009398&z=17

Hiller Aviation Museum, San Carlos, CA. The bulk of the collection is indoors. Lots of Hiller projects stuff, along with the Boeing SST cockpit mockup.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=37.512705,-122.252914&spn=0.001089,0.00235&z=19

Museum of Flight, Seattle, WA. Most of the collection is indoors, but there is an annex across the street with a Concord and the prototype 747, along with other jetliners.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=aviation+museum+seattle&ie=UTF8&ll=47.51923,-122.29834&spn=0.001855,0.004699&t=h&z=18

USAF Museum, Dayton, OH. The vast bulk of the collection is indoors, though there is a good-sized display outdoors.

Main hangars:

Memorial garden:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=39.779346,-84.112514&spn=0.002111,0.004699&z=18

Outdoor display (SICBM launcher in upper right):
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=39.784771,-84.107557&spn=0.002111,0.004699&z=18

Annex: You take a bus here:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=39.785604,-84.096501&spn=0.002111,0.004699&z=18

USAF Missile Museum, Cape Canaveral, Florida. A lot of outdoor dispalys of numerous missiles. Forty years in the Florida weather ahs *not* been good to many of these...

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=28.444091,-80.570812&spn=0.002415,0.004699&z=18

New England Air Museum, Windsor Locks, CT. About half inside, holf outside. Some years ago the museum got *trashed* by a tornado; they've done a good job of getting back on their feet.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=41.947877,-72.691281&spn=0.002043,0.004699&z=18

Belleview Park, Englewood, CO. Not a museum per se, just a Mace missile on some poles in a public park...

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=39.624326,-104.99954&spn=0.001058,0.00235&t=h&z=19

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=34.710741,-86.65558&spn=0.002258,0.004699&t=h&z=18

Missiel park inside Marshall Space Flight Center, Alabama. Includes a V-2, Saturn 1, a number of other missiles from that general era. Not sure if it is publicly accessible anymore.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=34.652481,-86.671502&spn=0.00113,0.00235&t=h&z=19

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=41.658922,-112.440648&spn=0.002052,0.004699&t=h&z=18

Tennessee Museum of Aviation, Sevierville, TN

Small private museum. Small but nice.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=35.858248,-83.524139&spn=0.002226,0.004699&t=h&z=18

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Chantilly, VA. I've not been here yet.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=38.911305,-77.443753&spn=0.002137,0.004699&t=h&z=18

Looks to be under construction...

Launch Complex 34, site of the Apollo 1 disaster. Not sure if it's accessible to the general public (don't think so). Very quiet place, seemingly hell and gone away from everywhere.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=28.521822,-80.561081&spn=0.001207,0.00235&t=h&z=19

Legacy Flight Museum, Rexburg, Idaho. Dinky little private museum with a number of warbirds, all flyable.

http://www.legacyflightmuseum.com/planes.aspx

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=43.83181,-111.807089&spn=0.003963,0.009398&t=h&z=17

Cool! I live not to far from there, actually. Don't wanna knock against Pima, but it's hard to beat a nice air-conditioned hangar :)

A tip: when you get a Google Map image you like and want to link to, simply hit the "link to this page" button just above the top right corner of the map image. It will give you a much shorter link to cut-and-paste.
