With modern fuel cost fluctuations this may be seriously considered and attempted in the near future. Particularly as hostilities toward nuclear power will need some odd 10-15 more years to go away as China is still (statistically) dependent on fuel burning thus holding back initiative. We will need either affordably stockpiled or long shelf life long range munitions (preferably both) for that.

Of course one could wonder if we will diverge from legacy tube-wing airframes or actually resurrect the C-17s somewhere in the future whilst hogging money for an NGAD tanker.
 
Quick look at Aviation Safety Database shows 11+8 = 19 B-52H mishaps - most of them written off or with substantial damage - only three with minimum damage so 16 total losses. Out of 102, that's 86 that should be left, not 76... no idea what happened to those ten. Except perhaps one was passed to NASA in the 2000s.

The aircraft was taken out of storage at MASDC last spring 2021 and sent to the Pima Air & Space Museum
where its wings, fuselage and horizontal stabilizer were removed.
On 4 January 2022, the fuselage of the B-52 began its trip to the Boeing
facility in Oklahoma City (OK), where it will become the test bed for
research and modernisation for the B-52 fleet. The left wing and fuselage will serve as an
integration model. The right wing and horizontal stabilizer of the bomber will be transported to
McFarland Research and Development in Wichita (KS) to support structural
integrity research for the B-52H Aircraft Structural Integrity Programme (ASIP).

The fuselage arrived at the Boeing facility near Tinker Air Force Base on January 22, 2022
where it will be reassembled with the left wing. The aircraft will then serve as an integration model to
test how well new technologies and current and future modifications will integrate with B-52 aircraft.

0023 (MSN 464450) loaned to Boeing to test turbulence effects. On test flight on Jan 10, 1964
near East Spanish Peak, COthe entire vertical fin and rudder were ripped off. Airccraft could only be controlled by jockeying
the throttles. Navigator was ordered to eject with tapes of the data that could be used to
solve the problem. Aircraft was able to land safely at Blytheville AFB. Repaired and returned to service.

when power loss on no. 5 and 6 engines. 6 killed, 2 ejected. This plane was seen
parked at DMAFB Mar 2009, so the plane must have been repaired. The aircraft was destroyed in the crash,
so this sighting seems unlikely.

As I previously stated, there are ten ish H models in the AZ. I think at least one of the Hs has been pulled apart and is used for training purposes, and the remainder might not all be restorable.

I think people underestimate how much stand off weapons + speed and radar horizon make B-1B type bombers very unpleasant to intercept, especially in the maritime role. A subsonic BWB might struggle with this. Plus fitting them on alert trees may be challenging.

IMO the ideal bomber fleet is something like ~100 B-52J, 250 B-21 and 150 of a next generation B-1 type (ideally with two of the 375" modular bays and the external pylons). God only knows how or when we'd get there, but I think that would be much healthier for being able to maintain nuclear deterrence and do theater conventional warfighting.

I can't see the USAF or congress allowing the bomber force to be killed like that? Unless we can magically make hundreds of B-21 in a few years. But even then you'd be unable to carry outsize weapons like AGM-183...

Besides what program hasn't either run into performance cost or time issues these days? At some point it's got to be an issue of being unable to competitively bid an honest budget, schedule and specs.
