That project was limited by the 8-cylinder, Lycoming IO-720 engines available back during the 1960s.

In many respects, this project looks like a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan with a swinging aft fuselage. As soon as they proved their reliability, Pratt & Whitney sold PT6A engines to Cessna to power their single-engined 208 Caravan. PT6A may have started with only 550 horsepower, but later versions of Caravan - and STCs - now make up to 1,000 horsepower.
