I have noticed a major increase in people posting off-topic comments often of a political, argumentative or inflammatory nature.

Please take a moment to read the forum rules. Failure to adhere to the rules may result in posts being edited or removed and users being banned.

Consider this a final warning.

I would like to reiterate this. In addition to what Paul wrote above, it also is frustrating when people post something that, while perhaps not of a political, argumentative or inflammatory nature, is never-the-less nothing to do with the thread topic. It doesn't take much to search for the correct thread or even to start a new one if nothing appropriate can be found.

Agree. The rules about finding existing topics doesn't preclude starting new ones when appropriate.
