I've found this drawing on a Russian Forum showing what is described as a "Proposed Triple screw Battleship"
27-3455640-proekt-u.jpg

The filename relates to Project U or Project Y.

I'm not sure which navy designed it but I see elements of France (Hull form and shape) and Germany (turrets shape and guns arrangement)
Did you guys be able to indentify it?

I think this was actually an American proposal. ISTR it being in Friedman's battleship book. The U.S. in the 1880s-mid1890s was looking at overseas designs. The Texas was heavily inspired by British designs and the Brooklyn was at least inspired by French ideas. The U.S.S. Charleston was based on the Japanese Naniwa (They bought the blueprints from Armstrong). If I recall correctly, This was proposed, and would have been built if any battleships had been approved by congress at the time.

Now that you mention it...
Will check in Friedman's US BB Book
