StandOff & PGM Weapons

Does it even matter?
If memory serves me right, mig-25s were used to throw dumb bombs to almost 30.

I'd need to see a source for that.

A like-for-like comparison would be to deliveries of US Mk80 series bombs from the same types of platforms/parameters. And those are usually in the ballpark of 5 miles with unguided ordnance. Maybe more with supersonic release, but good luck hitting the right grid square that way.

More over I do not think the Russians have any bombs that are as low drag as mk80 series.

Sure, [1] [2], it was indeed supersonic/high altitude bomber, most known for bombing Tehran (irony) and Iranian oil fields.

You may find bombs in question(FAB-500T) quite familiar, as it's exactly the bomb that sticks out of UMPK-ER kit on the last page.

I did refer to JDAM-ER when talking about the gliding though.
It's always better to point that out. Two different bombs, and JDAM-ER is still limited to two main users (Ukraine, Australia).

Your second ref is about gliding (Planing, mistranslated as planning) bombs, even for the cited 60 km range before UMPK was mentioned. The first is talking about supersonic tosses from high level. JDAM is AFAIK only cleared for supersonic release from the F-22 and no one even talks about its range in that regime.

"during one of the full-scale tests at the Polessky test site, when practicing bombing at an echelon of 20,000 + m at a speed of about 2100 km / h, the experimental FAB-500T aerial bomb, dropped from the MiG-25RB suspension, was able to overcome 40 km even without an additional folding or fixed swept wing."
It's before kit. FAB-500T is notable for two reasons - it's the most aerodynamic dumb bomb in Soviet series, it's also meant for high supersonic carriage(T=thermal resistant). First quality brought it back into production in 2024, and now it apparently may soon turn baseline&started evolving (stabilizers are likely not there anymore)

I had thought CoAspire would get this. The fact that they adopted the mk82/GBU-38 form factor means that RAACM will have a lot of compatibility with existing rack systems, notable F-15E conformal hard points. It might also be compatible with the B-2 SBRA, which would just be an amazing capability to have. Not sure if B-52 has any means of carrying mk82 sized weapons internally but the heavy stores adaptor beam should carry 16 external.

Hi just a side question why cant barracuda 500 fit into f-35a/c bay when it is shorter than jsow and less wide than gbu-31

The Barracuda-500 is currently designed for surface to air/TEL launch and deployed in a container like structure with the C130.
It has no lugs and can't be mounted on any aircraft pylon or racks at this time.
By my estimates it's also slightly large than a Mk84 with a width of ~19.1". The wings & their hinges stand out here.

The Air Force wants a new, affordable, air-launched standoff cruise missile ready to field in 2033.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center announced April 6 it will hold an industry day event to conduct market research on the Standoff Attack Weapon, or SoAW, on June 17 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Those interested in attending must apply by June 1.

“The intent of [the] industry day is to discuss desire attributes of an affordable future standoff attack weapon system,” according to the notice. “SoAW is the AFLCMC concept for a prospective relatively affordable air-launched standoff cruise missile against heavily defended targets intended to be fielded around 2033.”
