Ace Combat Thread

1. Finally! Quite dated news but we’re finally getting a new Ace Combat title after the 7th game. Getting closer and closer to see what brought to the events in Ace Combat 3: Electropsphere!

2. Sadly, no Chinese planes due to licensing issues…
 
I’m very impressed how the Jets look this time around.

Ace Combat 04 is my all time favorite game

The sheer theater of the final mission.

A choir singing part of a Requiem. In Latin.

Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi (Lamb of God, that cleanses the world of sin)
Dona eis requiem (grant them eternal rest)
Qui tolis peccata mundi (Whom cleanses the world of sin)

(And that mission is fun as all hell to fly one of the high end planes in to lay waste to the opposition)

I do have the Sky Crawlers Innocent Aces game for Wii, it's pretty legit.

I like Sky Crawlers a lot, I actually prefer it to the movie.
 
Ace Combat 8 is around the corner! Been enjoying the play-through of folks who bought the early release.
F-14s stuffed into an Essex looks ridiculous :p (FCU Endurance was based off detailed scans of the USS Hornet)

Been playing the campaign today and I am loving the faithfulness to the strangereal world! Its like being on the cusp of reintroducing the world of AC3! I've been playing since AC1, still have the memory cards for the consoles that had them.
 
I've been playing this as well. Very well done. Love that you can get AC:0 as a preorder bonus, playing that one again is also excellent. I'm through 15 or 16 I think (my last mission was the one where fly the old jet). At this point I'm trying to beat the campaign with a kitted out Hornet to see how much MRP I end up with to unlock things at the end. Hasn't caused me any issues yet, but we'll see what happens. Wingmen seem much more competent this time around as well.
 
Yeah I feel that. Im trying to save up for the new superplane at the end, not going to spoil it any further though!
 
I loved AC7, must've played through the campaign at least 3 or 4 times. Hearing good things about Wings of Theve.

Unfortunately, I don't think my trusty old 1080Ti is up for it (hardware ray tracing is mandatory, per what I've read. Not to mention, driver support ended for this card a few months ago).

May have to keep this one in the wishlist till after I upgrade.
