But most people don't realize that containers do fall off ships or give much thought as to what happens to the contents.

Indeed, a very powerful performance which illustrates the quality of acting. 51 words in the entire film. Great work from all involved.

That reminds me of the discussions we had in my international business classes about shipment insurance.

The nautical folks started shipment insurance, but there's some interesting wrinkles to that: if someone's deck cargo is cut loose to save the ship in a storm etc, the folks whose cargo was saved are responsible for paying the person whose cargo was lost, not the general insurer.
