S-Boat - Performance Enhancement

Increasing the Speed of S-boats:
- MB 518 diesel engine (3,000 hp maximum output – approx. 44 knots top speed)
- Rockets, Pulsejets, Turbojets

The Führer has asked the Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine whether it would be possible to enable S-boats to reach high speeds very quickly - thereby better evading hostile screening forces - by installing rocket propulsion. The Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine reports the following findings of the assessment to the Führer:
Using ten "V-1" propulsion units would increase an S-boat's engine output by only 1,000 hp (from 7,000 hp to 8,000 hp). This represents an increase in top speed of 1–2 knots, meaning the effort involved is not worthwhile. Trials are currently underway with a turbine propulsion system intended to increase S-boat speeds; however, the outcome cannot yet be predicted.

The turbine system should be one of these two: the Brückner-Kanis 7500 shp or the Blohm & Voss tender, with the same power. 10000 shp designs were on the way. The M.A.N. marine gas turbine didn't make it to the hardware stage.
