some pages from a book.
However I couldn't find where they come from.

anybody know?

Hansgeorg Jentschura, Dieter Jung, Peter Mickel - Warships of the Imperial Japanese Navy, 1869-1945

Old book me too have only some pages from it.
First image set is the evolution of the Nagato from built to as modernized.
Second image is the old now inaccurate image of the Number 13 class Fast battleships
Third image is the Hiraga 35K ton final Kongo Replacement design of 1929/30 (Note there were no Fuso replacement design)

Picked up that book this week based on this thread as needed a decent reference on the IJN ships. Agree its a nice book

For cruisers I suggest Eric Lacroix's Japanese Cruisers book

I've had my copy of Jentschura et al for probably 25 years now. I'm sure there are much better and more accurate books about the major warships now as the book is getting on and was based on research done in the 1960s, but for a complete overview of the IJN from battleships to tugs I've never seen anything that has beaten it as a reference work.

If we are talking about books...
Does anybody know if there are any books in english language describing the German navy's warship designs? Primary the WW1 ones like the L-, GK- or FK- designs (Battleship, Battlecruiser, Light Cruiser)?
Examples like the L-20alpha and L-24alpha, GK-3021, GK-5041, FK-1 FK-4?

Groner's German Warships 1815-1945 and Aidan Dodson's The Kaiser's Battlefleet cover almost all of those designs.

Yes. Between the two of them you should get details and illustrations of most Imperial German warship designs except for IIRC some late war small cruisers.

BY the way , spring styles series only have#1and#3? where is the#2?

If it's German Capital Ship projects from the First World War period, what you need is:-

Deutsche Grosskampschiffe 1914-1918. Die Entwichlung der Typenfrage im ersten Weltkrieg, by Erich Forstmeier

Published by J.F. Lehman’s Verlag , Munich 1970.
Unfortunately LONG out of print, and as far as I know only available the original German.
Many years ago, I managed to get hold of a copy through Inter-Library loans in the United Kingdom, and, managed to photocopy the main data sections....

Hope these are of some use.
