Behold, the Jobaria. Discuss, analyze, and please attempt to contain your arousal. I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to figure out if it's a good idea, and I have no idea. All I know is god bless the mad lad who first seriously proposed this thing.

It does look a little like a prop from a zombie movie....
Efficient, yes in manpower terms, but the downside has to be all your eggs in one basket, I mean one flat and your rocket platoon is out of action, and with only 3 crew how do they guard and change the wheel?

I think 2 pods, on an 8x8 would be a better compromise, try to get the crew down to 2 men per vehicle, one flat then means you have lost 50% of your firepower.

Last sentence of the article in the first post: " There is also a lighter Mini Jobaria, based on the Nimr 6x6 vehicle. It carries two pods with a total of 107 mm rockets. "

The article says four turrets with three pods each, for 240 rounds...but I'm seeing 3 x 2 x 19 with space reserved in every twenty round batch. The whole article reads like English was their second language.

As for the weapon itself, it seems a lot more mobility limited than a normal 6x6 or 8x8 arrange ment with a single turret/erector. And I agree with the above that it risks a mobility kill taking a platoon's worth of rocket capability offline. It seems like something the UAE or Saudis would build, although I assume the Turks had to put the lions share of the technical work.

It's definitely 3 pods per turret (see attached). I think the black tubes were fired in a firepower demo before that picture was taken. The attached shows them intact.

Ah, the first picture I saw was from a bad angle. It seems even less of a good idea now. :)

I suppose all those tires mean the ground pressure isn’t *that* high but I Wouldn’t want to take it off pavement...

It looks like a great tool to boost your ammo consumption. Which is already impressive in that part of the world...

Yes, 110% for showmanship, 40% for practicality. Just because you can, doesnt mean you should. Maybe North Korea would take a few?
