For lack of a better place to put this, in Dan O'Connell's book "Messerschmitt Me 262: The Production Log 1941-1945", he writes of Bartoletti as an Italian volunteer who joined the Wehrmacht on September 15, 1943. He was born in Verona, Italy on October 20, 1918 and had served in the Italian army prior to WW2. He was a member of 1./Fl.Ü.G. 1 (Süd), an aircraft ferrying wing, and was killed while flying a Messerschmitt Me 262 A-2a (call sign GM+UD; Werknummern 110632) on February 28, 1945 after it crashed due to engine failure at Parchim.

There is scant I can find about this man and was curious if the assembled here might have something to add to this Italian that was trained on the Me 262.

Cheers!
