I don't speak German, so this "explanation" doesn't help me out much. I don't know who thought up this ceremony, but if it's legit and was intended as a joke, it's in damn poor taste... Harry

It wasn't a ceremony because of the foundation of the Bundeswehr Space Command, that event was already in 2021. But now a new building, where the whole command can work together at the same location was inaugurated. So, it was a much less formal ceremony, and yes, Martin may be right, "Raumpatrouille Orion" in a way would have been more appropriate... but then somehow would have had to tell all those younger soldiers there, what that was.... and not even one of those actors would have been available anymore, I'm afraid !
