WI 'enforced' slow response to Falklands?

WI it became obvious to the British in the first few days of April 1982 that the rushed 'formation pig-pile' Task Force wasn't going to cut it, that Argentina was putting coherent, mature plans into action which would require a coherent, mature response. This planning was done purely internally as a professional exercise at the MAJ/LTCDR level and didn't result in extra procurement or anything, but everything that can be used was identified and arranged into a plan and such unofficial, low level planning planning didn't even come to the attention to the British. On the British side while it becomes obvious that the Falklands can't be retaken quickly the same doesn't apply to South Georgia, which could pretty much be retaken as per history which for the purposes of argument, guarantees ongoing political support in London.

What happens after the 5th of April in this scenario?

A few dates:

• 20 June HMS Illustrious commissioned at sea
• 22 July first flight of VC10 K2 tanker.
• 23 July first flight of Sea King AEW
