this morning i saw at me near Eupen/Lonzen (Belgium), two military Jets in sky.

To my surprise they were Delta wing aircraft with single engine: Mirage III
i know that Belgium Air-force use the Mirage no more, so who air force is still flying with Mirage III in Europe ?

lately unusual things happen here in sky again...

Could they be French AF Mirage 2000 ? Looks pretty similar - delta wing, single engine.

Think that the Swiss AF were the last Mirage III users in this part of the world.

Don't think that I've heard of any Mirage III on the airshow circuit. Unless the Swiss AF have a Historic Flight or similar.

Regards,
Gerard

thx for the tip, Gerard

i could not see the little wing at air intake, they were to fast

France and Greece use Mirage 2000, one of the two NATO partner had training flights over Belgium
mostly i see here F-16 of Belgium or Spanish air force training over me

Or Belgium air force Transall training for 2013 july 21 military review and flying so low over ground, that i believe it crash down and locals call in panic the cops…
and Maastrich-Aachen Airport regulär very low flight approach of cargo Boeings…

and usual strange military flights over here…

Michael,

Spanish AF has no F-16.

ups, not my error
but Belgium New who reported about Spanish air force training in Sky of Belgium…

Thx for correction, pometablava

Michel, as far as i'm aware we have no transalls, but C130 Hercules.

Down south in the Eifel where i come from, we used to have lots of jet aircraft movements as well. Plenty of American planes following the motorway direction Germany when Spangdahlem and Bitburg had their good days.
