Hi All,

I will go to London in a near future and I wonder where I can find bookstores and DVD retailers with the best and largest choice in Military History/Aviation books and DVDs even in second hand.

Thanks for the help,

Its not in London anymore, now Tunbridge Wells, but an easy train ride or drive away:

It has new and second hand.

In London

Has now closed its shop.

Ian Allan's London branch is still open.

For second hand only, its hard to beat

http://stores.ebay.com/FALCONWOOD-TRANSPORT-BOOKSHOP

its near where I used to live in South-East London, close to Falconwood train station.

There are several bookshops along - or just off of - Charing Cross Road. As well as the monster Foyles there are some good second-hand places where one can easily loose a bit - or a lot - of time.

Foyles used to have an awesome aviation/military section when I was a kid, including copies of Soviet Military Power, Janes, etc. I spend time there with a pencil and notebook ;)

Popped in a few years back, was pretty terrible.

I remember when it was packed to the gills with books, then it remodeled to add more space - thus losing book-space. However, the bookshop has apparently moved recently into a building which used to be an arts college. Perhaps book-space has been restored?

Can anyone confirm?

I forgot Foyles had moved. I might wander down there later this week to see. Then again, considering in my undergraduate years I spent more money there than on booze...*

*Yes, I am that girl. When I last moved house I had to repack the van because my books were so heavy the front wheels were no longer on the road...

Hi All,

Thanks all for your answers !

Does Foyles has a large choice in DVDs (documentaries, History Channel ones, Aviation DVDs)?

Thanks for the answer,

All the Best,
