Top Gun movie marks 40 years

These days in may 1986 was released the movie "Top Gun", its awesomeness is still alive today. I want to celebrate it with my artowork dedicate to the Maverick & Merlin Tomcat that kills MiGs in the final battle.

I saw it last week, five folk in the cinema, one of whom (b'stard!) was in seat F14. Thoroughly enjoyed it on a big screen.

Oddly, a year after I saw it on first release, I was standing on the Luanda dockside being informed by a chap that the Floggers roaring around above us were 'MiG-24s'.

Might go and see 'Dambusters with Hornets' again if it comes to the IMAX.

I remember when it came out. Saw it three or four times in the theater. That opening scene, where the afterburners advance through the zones, still gives me goosebumps.

Forty years ago I saw it with my girlfriend at the time, we decided to stay in the cinema to see it again (in those days you could...), me for the planes, she for Tom Cruise...
