This forum.does no longer work with VPN

Hi all,

I can accsess the side in China without VPN, but than many links, like Youtube are beeing blocked. When I try to accsess the side with VPN (even wuth a fixed artificial IP adress), I get stucked in the security check .

I promise to donate 50 $ if this problem can be fixed....
 
I use a VPN almost all the time and it works fine.
 
The only reason you will get a security check is if you haven't signed in and saved a valid cookie to the browser. So I assume that you sign out constantly, or if you intentionally block access to the site's cookie?

I haven't signed in with my tablet since about two month. I use the kill switch function which interrupts my internet whenever the VPN connection is broken. So I would have to deactivate it and than never delete the cookies after that...
 
My Samsung tablet also gets testy with this site, I am not entirely sure why. The site protection is very sensitive if you are not signed in.

I also have a Samsung tablet, it might be a specific Samsung tablet problem.

You are of course entitled to your belief system but its simply a method to store a small amount of data persistently in the browser to optimise the browsing experience.

xf_user cookie contains an id and code which identifies you, this is what allows you to not need to sign in every time.

xf_session cookie contains an alphanumeric session ID which allows persistent settings in the forum during your current browsing session.

xf_emoji_usage contains the most recent emojis you used for quick access in the editor.

xf_csrf stores a unique Cross-Site Request Forgery token for the user. The forum uses this value alongside request timestamps and server salts to generate and validate security tokens for form submissions and AJAX requests, ensuring malicious external sites cannot execute unauthorized actions on a user's behalf.

cf_clearance stores a code when you successfully pass the am I human check.

_ga and _ga_48FH7B2JLN are Google analytics cookies, feel free to block them on the forum. They do give me enriched data on visitors, but its not at all essential. These are the only privacy relevant ones really.
 
You.might concider it a safety risk, but I don't want to use different passwords for all sides. If I keep the password safed in the browser, someone might be abble to steal it and could use it on several other sides which I'm using as well. At least, I can still accsess the side from my Chinese mobile

I use a VPN; one of its redirect locations is blocked here because of "suspicious traffic," a somewhat vague term. The other redirect locations are not blocked.
