It was in the town of Hämeenlinna, home of the famous Finnish music composer Johan Sibelius, that a very daring and unusual story was born. Over a period of twenty years, a man set about building a firearm, a light machine gun using 22-caliber cartridges mounted on a metal band, with a rate of fire of 420 rounds per minute, powered by a cordless drill, a feat not lacking in ingenuity. However, automatic weapons were not authorized. The weapon was confiscated, its inventor was questioned by the local police and tried for a firearms offence. Apparently, this man wanted to hear music other than that of Sibelius. In the end, one could also deduce that the credit also goes to the publicity given to the SKIL tool brand for this “SKILL Light Machinegun”.
