Back in 1964 I had seen a battery powered plane in a long gone Oxford shop doing its circles on a table with rabbits and robots etc. I pestered my father for it as a Christmas present, but he told me they had all sold out. On Christmas morning I hurried downstairs and found one of the parcels and opened it. The photo attached is from Worthpoint but is exactly what greeted me.
I still have the toy but not the box. Sadly once you fitted the tail the plane would not go back in the box and the tail did not come off. An omen perhaps for what happened to the real thing.
