Just saw a FB Reel about the Soviet command watching the results of Operation Desert Storm, where the US demonstrated Air-Land Battle Doctrine in action and demolished Iraq in very short order. 100 hours of ground campaign after 42 days of massive air bombardment.
And they were horrified.
Proved they'd lost the Cold War, had no way to win a conventional war against US/NATO. (Smart-ass response: I'd hope the US could actually pull off Air-Land Battle, we'd only been practicing it for ~20 years!)
But what books are out there talking about the Russian doctrinal responses to this? Do any really exist?
