Porsche Typ 180: http://fingolfen.tripod.com/tiger/vk4502p.html
This Porsche project, called Typ 180 and VK 45.01 (P2), existed. It began in May 1941 and was cancelled in November 1942 mainly due to problems with engines.
There is a model of front mounted turret version: http://www.hlj.com/product/ACMK021V

Again that Doktor Porsche mania with air cooled and petrol-eletric engines, good for a locomotive but for a heavy tank.... :-X

The forward turret variant would had some barrel overhang troubles. Still a decent was a decent looking tank, like a fat (88mm armed) t-34.

Just got the book "Typenkompass - Panzer der Wehrmacht" by Alexander Lüdeke (yes, the one we know
here very well ! ) showing the VK 4501, with a drawing a little bit different from the one above. Front and
turret resemble more the Kpdw.VI Tiger, as built by Henschel.
