The range of an Iranian missile seems only to determine where it will run out of gas and fall harmlessly to the desert below, in fact if Israel did not shoot these toys out of the sky they might all fly right over Israel. This is telling if Russia is supplying parts

The red-orange smoke from immediately before detonation makes me think Red Fuming Nitric Acid, which is best known on this forum as rocket oxidizer.

And well, nitric acid is the kind of thing that will happily chew through most metals if something lets it.

But I'm sure RFNA meeting solid rocket fuel would not go well.
