ID for NAA "Shape"?

Came across these images in the North American Aviation negatives from the Gerald Balzer collection. Any ideas what it is?

Looks like a tow target for air-to-air gunnery.

Very interesting. FWIW, image H81-13-304N is reversed; the tail should be at the left as with the images 304R and 304S.

Looks to me like a supersonic transport wind tunnel model.
