This partly appears to have been caused by an escaped secret naval balloon whose eventual crash was then covered up by the authorities because of its classified nature. And also partly caused by people seeing what they wanted to see and mistaking normal things for the extraordinary due to hysteria. The parallels with more modern events are stark but rather than aliens it was the devil who did it. Just shows you there is nothing new under the sun in human nature. The only thing I dislike about this channel is they often give rational explanations but insist on going at the end well it could really be X, Y or Z that’s such an annoyance to me.
