Hello guys i am a transplant from ATS so please play nice
I was out enjoying the stars the other night, I live in upstate NY and when the sky is clear it is beautiful outside.
So there i was in -10F crystal clear skys when all of a sudden right over the far tree line/horizon i see what looks like a satellite just a bit br9ighter and orange.
i figured the brightness and odd color may be from some form of atmospheric trickery.
as the light made its way across an arc at about 45degrees off the horizon it started making a staircase movement. it looked like 90 degree turns but i don't think that is possible.
it make about 6 of these movements in a row than went back to drifting across the sky
i assume it was in space because it was so bright and there was no air traffic on the typical online sites.
i have seen almost this exact set of events like 7 years ago.
i don't think it is alien or whatever but i do think what ever this is would be a killer asset for ISR and just space travel.
it moved with ease and stopped on what looked like a dime to instantly move at a sharp angle away
allegedly SSTO or even TSTO aircraft were never realized, satellites these days can move pretty well and might be odd to see an orbital burn.
What say you here?
i think it was an unmanned drone used for ISR/LADAR/NEST and possibly eletronic weapons
or is it a missile
or am i just dumb and this is a well knows satellite or atmospheric magic
