Sad news that the original designer of the Bristol Siddeley/Rolls-Royce Pegasus, Gordon Lewis, died recently:

Without his work there would have been no Harrier. He was also a key player in the development of the Olympus, RB.199 and many projects and test engines, such as the BS.100 for the Hawker Siddeley P.1154.
