Was going through some 1944-45 Aeromodeller magazines I have acquired, more from those later perhaps (fascinating stuff) but the original purchaser was obviously keen on his gliders so I discovered several contemporary (i.e. WWII) newspaper clippings referring to various German airframes.


So, posted in case they are of interest below.
 
OK so this is a Grumman Hellcat aka Barracuda, not so German.
