Forum downtime was a result of an exploit in Kloxo control panel which allowed malicious hackers to co-opt vulnerable servers into a mass DDOS attack on the Bank Of America website.

Our virtual server doesn't use Kloxo but was located on the same physical box as one or more compromised virtual servers which caused the physical server to lock up under the strain. Now it's back up it is possible further downtime may occur until the hosting company can get all virtual servers running Kloxo software isolated and shut down.
