So, a little puzzle with a wing...
It's a flying wing or a tailless aircraft made before 1945, probably German.
It was apparently held by the Deutsche Luftfahrt Sammlung.
It is oficially identified as the Horten Ho II, but there are too many differences. Second possibility is the Go 147, but it doesn't fit this aircraft even more.

This is probable shape:

Dark areas have hard skin (plywood or metal?), lighter were apparently covered with linen. No flaps or elevons are preserved, and only a bare spar remains of the outer part. The original wingspan could have been greater.

An actual photo can be seen here:

Any ideas?

Maybe it's part of the airfoil that was recovered by SHIELD when they found Captain America. ;)

An interesting idea, but it's not our bird, I'm afraid. :(
There are certain (but not ideal) similarities in partial covering with fabric, but inner wing structure is completely different - and there are no traces of air brakes in the relics.

Hi Grzesio,

altough I don`t have any other clues, I appreciated the pic and the link. Thanks.

A VERY interesting find! I completely forgot about Lippisch.
Especially, that if one looks at e.g. Storch I, there's striking similarity in the wing structure:

It seems, the Storch VII is a good match - the aircraft was held by the Deutsche Luftfahrtsammlung indeed and there's reasonable similarity in shape.
The wing was already attributed to the Storch VII many years ago on the lwag forum. :)

I found a NACA report by Lippisch that covers some of his flying wings, including the one discussed here.

More info in the report
Number NACA-TM-564
