Certainly right, although a bit of unrelaxed dictatorship again !
At least the nose wheel actually WAS flying. But the exact reason for
this vehicle isn't quite clear to me .

As to the point, probably another attempt to improve efficiency by reducing
road contact aka 'friction'. Seems to be that Moodie forgot that with road
vehicles friction = control.
