So just to clarify and speculate.
BE.33 was said to be able to produce 11,400lb thrust and be suited for fighter application with rapid throttle changes. Ideal for carrier aircraft of course.
This is just 20 numbers from BE.53 thst became the Pegasus. Notable for a higher short duration thrust and rapid throttle changes. I wonder if some of the BE.33 technology was carried into it?
BE.30 was Zeus was twin shaft contra-rotating three stage low pressure and sevendors stage high pressure compressors. Suited to Mach 2 and 30" Diameter.
Logically then the BE.33 could well be an evolution of the BE.30.

Sorry, what I thought I had was not BE.33 but BE.30 Zeus. Both BE.30 and BE.33 must have been more or less concurrent projects. I'm surprised more use wasn't made of the BE.33 by the other NA.39 contenders or other military uses.
