Hi,


from Sailplane and Glider magazine,here is a drawing to British Bonnet biplane
glider if 1932,I think it was a project only,is that right .

"The machine was built by Pierre Bonnet at Bordeaux ..... It was reported to have been finished and
flown, and to posses good maneuvrability, but since then nothing further has apparently been heard of it."

I managed to extract two slightly higher resolution images of the aircraft structure... quality still isn't great though. I wasn't able to find higher quality images of the glider in flight.

It is a shame that the original 3-view is so unreliable.

Very unusual aircraft. Perhaps a scale model for a larger design? Or maybe some kind of early unmanned type, like an aerial torpedo.

It is strange.
A biplane glider. Why?
It is hard to see if the canopy is transparent.
What is that on the fuselage bottom? First it reminded me of seaplanes. Or can it be a skid for launching or landing? It looks as if it is soft, and conforming to the ground. Inflatable?

It is fairly common to place heavy fabric over the side of the skid to the fuselage on vintage gliders - reminds me of that.

and for Bonnet,he began with BC-1 with Louis Clement in 1922,Type-2 was a
monoplane of 1923,Type-3 was a biplane of 1925,Type-4 was called Bonnet-
Duprat of 1932,Type-5 Double Monoplane of 1933,Type-6 was Multiplane of
1933 and later BC-7,it was a motor glider.

Thanks for sharing! Very elegant design, reminds me some Luigi Collani futuristic works.
But I wonder, how upper wing would transfer loads via single vertical pylon? Such structural decision isn't common and pure cantilever wing, attached to fuselage by such way, isn't popular both for aircraft and gliders.

P.S. This glider reminds me another famous glider - Bowlus Du Pont 1 S 2100 Senior Albatross "Falcon"
