OK, one of those times when sleep is going to be tough to find so, I pick up on a USN navy thread here and dive into the rabbit hole, ending up at the USS Bonefish.
I get there fire was devastating and she was scrapped. However, the is an addendum to that comment that Northrop-Grumman bought the hull for testing purposes in `989 from there the black hole would give better results.
Does anyone out there have more data on this, scrapped most like but curious what this company which majors in aircraft production etc might have done with the hull.
