Only just saw this, but cue safety critical engineering full body shudder!

Even if they were only using it for the visuals on their train tracking system (which the Arstechnica article on this story implies), that's a safety critical usage, because it might enable someone to visually spot a mis-routing that's gotten through their other safety critical systems. For the aerospace equivalent, picture an ATC centre using Flash to run their radar screens....

I'm not fond of a lot of stuff that sees safety critical usage, but Flash! Flash!?!
