Looked at in the 1930's by the UK, Ram was a remote controlled aircraft that was to be flown into bomber formations and its 500lb warhead detonated, nothing came of this but according to 'British Secret Projects Hypersonics, Ramjets and Missiles'..

By 1935 the importance of RF technology was becoming apparent, particularly in Britain which was then developing RDF, later known as radar. It was proposed that a Ram be fitted with equipment to home in on such equipment if it was used by an enemy. Ram was to be the first 'radar buster' or anti-radiation missile.'

Does anyone know what happened to that proposal?

Give that 100 Group attempted to jam German radars, why wasn't a more offensive action taken against them?

Errr, what do you think WINDOW was?

An anti-radiation missile might take out individual emitters but it won't stop a belt of search radar systems such as the Kammhuber line represented. WINDOW and jamming were more effective.
