Robinson sells more light helicopters than anyone else. Those light helicopters are so inexpensive that far more companies can afford Robinsons, that that expands the lower edge of the market.
Light helicopter competitors like Enstrom, Brantley, Hiller, Bell 47, Hughes 300 have all fallen out of production. This leaves the piston-powered R22 alone as an entry-level trainer.
