Jules Védrines was a pilot associated with that Morane-Borel monoplane, not its designer (earlier, Védrines was with Usines Gnôme). A service pilot during the War, he somehow managed to also set up the Société Constructions aéronautiques Jules Védrines et Cie ('Aéroplanes Védrines') near Paris.

Védrines was involved in conceptualizing the triplane, which was designed by the French engineer Louis-León Astoux (sometimes referred to as the triplan Védrines-Astoux). BTW, the pair filed at least three patents relating to their triplane:

Improvements in or relating to Wing Systems for Aeroplanes
(UK version of Voilure d'aéroplanes multi-plan à incidence variable)

Improvements in or relating to the Construction of Aeroplane Fuselages
(UK version of Système de construction des fuselages d'aéroplanes)

Flight also mentions UK patent 7,698 J. VEDRINES AND L. L. ASTOUX Landing wheels of aeroplanes.

Available in French as: Système de train d'atterrissage pour aéroplanes
