Hi Hesham

In the "docavia" from Bernard Millot exactly the same than you
and nothing for the planes you're asking !!

Bye

After the VE- series, and right before the V- series, Chance Vought designed a Navy fighter which he designated the VF-1. The Navy issued a contract for the type, but it was to become the UF-1 in service, as "VF" was already used by the Navy to designate the fixed-wing fighter category. That unbuilt aircraft is not to be mistaken with the later FU-1, which reused the first "F" slot before the F2U ! More on the VF-1 in this item from The Corsair, and other — Aeroplanes Vought - 1917-1977 (Aviation Heritage, 1978).
