777 the safest airliner? Makes sense! An airplane that is grounded all the time cant crash!
The whole survey is a little bit weird, since it is not airplane alone that is safe or not, but multiple things: the pilot, the maintenance, weather...

It would actually be nice to see estimates of accidents per flying hour. It'd also be nice to see a distinction between survivable crashes and non-survivable crashes.

I'm interested in short-haul regional aircraft - you'd have to do the comparisons as accidents/hour rather than number of casualties (due to the diverse passenger loads)

The 777 isn't grounded all the time? The 787 WAS, no longer. Don't forget that the A380 has had incidents as well.
