Although John Polgreen is especially known for his great science-fiction work, he also did a few aviation paintings, mostly on order for aircraft manufaturers.

Here is a series of such images he did during the 1950s:
  • Two pencil images of a very original contra-rotating VTOL concept (contractor unknown)
  • A color pencil image with (white paint enhancement) depicting the Hiller STORC tip-jet stopped-rotor project
  • A very aircraft-like VTO space ship
If you know more of them, please share... and if you know what aircraft company the VTOL concept was done for (if any) please let us know!
