Quite interesting video about the B-36! B)
1950 era propaganda film by the U. S. Signal Corp of the then-new B-36 intercontinental nuclear bomber. Shown in movie theaters of the time, this film was not only to inform the U.S. public, but to let the Soviets know of the new technology that could rain nuclear destruction on the USSR. That propaganda blitz is described in detail in "Cold War Peacemaker - The Story of Cowtown and the Convair B-36" which I co-authored with Dennis R. Jenkins. ISBN-10: 1580071279.

For you B-36 fans; this is the B-36 at Pima Air Museum in Arizona. It was the last B-35 produced. My 6 foot tall son plays the role of "scale marker" in the first three photos.

Very nice pics!

People don't realize how huge a B36 is, they dwarf a B52!

There are two B-52's (B-52D) parked next to the B-36. And yeah, it's way bigger! The third B-52 they have was being refurbished. Sadly, we couldn't see it; it was 0008, one of the X-15 motherships.
