I've become curious about a human-powered ornithopter, which was mentioned in a mid-70s magazine article on human powered flight;
Does anyone happen to know more about this machine? If so, please share!

I've become curious about a human-powered ornithopter, which was mentioned in a mid-70s magazine article on human powered flight;
"Pteryx Butterfly," a 130-pound
ornithopter using "feathers" of porous
rayon filament cloth on music wire
hoops, under development in California.
Does anyone happen to know more about this machine? If so, please share!
