Postwar VTOL Designs by Gerald P. Herrick

To my horror (ok, today is Halloween, so it's probably quite appropriate !) I noticed, that this thread about
Gerald Post Herrick actually was started with some pictures from a book and just the only real Herrick design
wasn't posted (see attached file from the link)! This old thread can (provisionally) be found here now

and postwar Herrick designs can be posted here. Typical for all Herrick designs was the stoppable wing.
A photo of a windtunnel model of the HC-6D is atached, too, the HC-6C would have been identical, with the exception
of being without tip rotorjets.

My understanding was that the article from which the first picture was taken was showing other projects that also came from Herrick's house of ideas...
